eoc - concert lyon et saint etienne - musique classique contemporaine
The growing interest of a new generation of listeners for contemporary music, the emergence of crossed artistic expression ways and the development of mixed shows (where visual, plastic, pictorial, multimedia and sound creation are linked together) have contributed to make easier the access to nowadays repertoires and to erase the "erudit" connotation of "contemporary music".

Musical languages of the contemporary music are said to be erudite and not always easily accessible by a large audience. Various actions carried out by the Ensemble Orchestral Contemporain since its creation are tested on several categories of audience. The pedagogical action lead by the musicians and Daniel Kawka have shown how a simple pedagogic approach could give the key to reach the pleasure of listening and how it could awake the individual's curiosity in their own way to discover and meet music of today. That's the reason why the ensemble allots a significant energy to pedagogic action. From the very beginning, the training has started in the city of Andrézieux-Bouthéon where a work has been experimented on audiences from nursery school to University.
