eoc - concert lyon et saint etienne - musique classique contemporaine

Since 1992 when the Ensemble Orchestral Contemporain settled in the city of Andrézieux-Bouthéon (France), the ambition acknowledged by many medium-sized towns to build an original and audacious cultural season and to create in Rhone-Alpes region new places for alive shows enable the ensemble to extend its artistic activity in the region. The ensemble developed also partnerships with local communities, specialized structures such as Grame, festivals and various cultural places which are, for some of them, represented by the « groupe of 20 ».

Participation in great festival appointments: Les Musiques in Marseille, Festival Manca in Nice, Festival Why Not in Dijon, Musica in Strasbourg, Rencontres Internationales de Violoncelles de Beauvais…
Regular presence in cultural seasons of theatres: Nantes, Angers, Besançon, Rouen, Paris, Caen, Metz, Lausanne...
Partnerships / co-productions with other vocal or musical groups: Compagnie Opera Théâtre, Choeur of Lyon Bernard Têtu, Percussions Claviers of Lyon, A Sei Voci, Octuor of violoncelles of Beauvais…

International cover entails the invitation of the ensemble by great music festivals. Moreover concerts produced by two ensembles are an efficient mean to keep long-term relationships with cultural structures and artists. Besides co-production raises new projects and ensures the ensemble a significant action abroad (co-production with the Nouvel Ensemble of Montreal, the Plural Ensemble of Madrid, the Ensemble Contrechamps of Geneva…).
