Patrick Oriol studied string quartet under Zoltan Toth at the Conservatoire National Supérieur Musique et Danse de Lyon.
He has won international competitions such as Banff in Canada, received support from different sponsors and has performed in some of the most prestigious venues and festivals across the world. He has also recorded several albums, winning a Diapason d’Or in 2005.
Patrick Oriol has been a member of the Ensemble Orchestral Contemporain for many years. He has a teacher training diploma and teaches at the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Chalon-sur-Saône.
