A graduate of the Conservatoire National Supérieur Musique et Danse de Lyon, Emmanuelle Jolly has performed alongside the Nouvel Ensemble de Saint-Etienne, the Chœurs de l’Orchestre National de Lyon and even the Ensemble Vocal Benjamin Britten.

She joined the Ensemble Orchestral Contemporain as a harpist in 1995. She has taught harp since 1994, and was a guest tutor for several years before completing her music training, focussing on instrumental composition and electroacoustic music.

She is fascinated by the written word, especially poetry. She has thus worked with Coécie theatre company (Saint-Chamond), composed works based on collections by contemporary authors and taken part in workshops, to delve deeper into the close musical relationship between the written word and the electroacoustic instrumental world.
